Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at the Jefferson Avenue Medical Office Building. The role involves assisting with basic patient care, monitoring vitals, and providing support under RN guidance.

Requirements include completion of a nursing aide program or STNA/CNA as applicable, and preferred BLS certification. EPIC EHR training is a plus, with potential for professional development and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have completed nursing aide training program OR successful completion of STNA OR CNA certified nurse aide OR nursing program with clinical nursing course
• OH LTC STNA requirement if applicable
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and mobility assistance
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes/concerns
• Provide high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the EHR
• Participate in hand-off/report of pertinent information upon arrival and departure
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated
• Mobilize patients using safe transfer techniques and encourage independence
• Individualize care based on patient interests and needs
