Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Lourdes Hospital to provide basic patient care and support under RN guidance. Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with feeding and grooming.

Applicants should have nursing aide training or certs (STNA/CNA) and experience in acute care settings. BLS is preferred; EPIC EHR experience is a plus, and training is available. Competitive benefits are offered with this role.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support is preferred on hire, must obtain before direct patient care
• Must have completed one of the following: nursing aide training program OR STNA OR CNA OR Nurses Aide state testing OR completed a nursing program with clinical nursing course
• 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal hygiene and mobility support
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns
• Delivers high-quality service to patients, families, visitors, and staff
• Documents patient care accurately and timely
• Assists with hand-offs and reports pertinent information on arrival and departure
• Assists in patient transfer using safe methods and promotes independence
• Encourages patient independence and tailors care to individual interests
