Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide essential basic health care and support under RN supervision. Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, monitoring patients, assisting with feeding and grooming, and documenting care in the EHR.

Qualifications

Nursing aide training program OR STNA/CNA certification or approved equivalent clinical experience.
Recent experience in acute care, home health/hospice, or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides basic patient care and comfort, monitors vital signs, and assists with activities of daily living.
Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
Documents patient care accurately and timely in the EHR.
Participates in hand-offs and reports of patient and department needs.
