Job summary

Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide basic health care under RN supervision. The role involves sanitizing rooms, monitoring vital signs, assisting with feeding, grooming, and mobility to support patient comfort.

Qualifications include completion of a nursing aide training program or equivalent (STNA or CNA acceptable). EPIC EHR training is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing aide training program OR STNA OR CNA equivalent.
• Nursing/clinical experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and patient-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, hygiene, and mobility.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to a nurse.
• Assist with feeding, grooming, and daily activities.
• Document care accurately in the EHR.
• Coordinate hand-offs and communicate patient needs.
