Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's Lourdes Hospital seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide basic health care and support under RN guidance. The role includes sanitizing rooms, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with feeding and grooming to ensure patient comfort and dignity.

The position requires completion of nursing aide training or equivalent licensure (STNA, CNA, or nurse aide exam). EPIC EHR training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and mobility support.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the EHR.
• Participate in hand-offs and report pertinent information on arrival and departure.
• Assist with transfers using safe techniques to promote independence.
• Tailor care to patient interests and independence.
