Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the St. Francis Eastside unit. The role supports nurses by providing essential patient care, monitoring vital signs and basic needs, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

This full-time position offers a 36-hour work week across day and evening shifts. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care experience, strong communication, and a focus on compassionate patient support. Training in EPIC EHR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, hygiene and mobility assistance.
• Report changes or concerns to nurses in a timely manner.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families and staff.
• Accurately document patient care in the chart.
• Participate in hand-offs with pertinent information for patient needs.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is verified.
• Use transfer techniques to move patients safely.
• Encourage patient independence in daily activities.
