Job summary

The role requires 0-2 years in acute care or enrollment in a nursing program, BCLS within 90 days, and preferred CNA certification.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or current nursing student.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• CNA certification preferred or currently pursuing certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient care and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and intake/output, reporting to RN/LPN.
• Support with meals, hygiene, mobility, and daily activities.
• Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care glucose monitoring.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team and maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to infection control and PPE protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Remain with patients as required for observation and comfort.
