Job summary

The Lutheran Downtown Hospital is seeking a Part-time Nights Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in an acute care setting in Fort Wayne, IN. The PCT will assist with daily living activities, meal support, mobility, and data collection under RN/LPN supervision.

Candidates should have 0-2 years in acute care (or be enrolled in a nursing program) and may hold CNA or CPCT certifications. Expect adherence to infection control, PPE use, and attendance expectations.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care services and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, oxygen saturation, intake/output, and calories; report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility assistance.
• Collect urine and stool samples and perform blood glucose monitoring; document results.
