Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision in an acute setting. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe care environment.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of acute care experience or are enrolled in a nursing program; BCLS within 90 days of hire is required. CNA or CPCT credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated patient care and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Record vital signs and other data; report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, grooming, bathing, and mobility assistance.
• Support catheter care, urine/stool collection, and glucose monitoring.
• Maintain infection control practices and comply with safety protocols.
