United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support licensed staff by providing direct and indirect patient care and ensuring comfort and safety. You will observe and report changes in patient condition, assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, hygiene, and nutrition coordination.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Competenze

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Prior patient care experience preferred.

Mansioni

Observes and reports patient concerns/changes to a registered nurse immediately.
Assists RN with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care duties.
Records vital signs and assists with hygiene and comfort measures.
Assists in specimen collection and other patient activities.
Maintains a clean, safe environment to prevent infections and ensure safety.
Reports equipment repairs promptly per department procedures.
Prepares patients for examinations and procedures.
Communicates nutrition issues to RN and supports dietary changes.
Assists department with administrative tasks and answers call bells.
