United Hospital Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to perform direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in coordination with licensed medical staff, including monitoring vitals and assisting with admission and discharge processes.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 30 days of hire, and state licensure as CNA or PCT; WVUM program completion or national certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Nationally certified patient care technician or CNA licensure in state where services are provided.
• WVUM Patient Care Technician program completed or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification issued by the state where services are provided.

Responsabilités

• Observes and reports patient concerns to a registered nurse immediately.
• Assists RN with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care tasks.
• Records vital signs and supports in hygiene and comfort measures; tracks intake/output.

Prior patient care experience

Formation

High School Diploma or equivalent

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nationally certified patient care technician

WVUM Patient Care Technician program

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

OH Nurse Aide Registry

WV DHHR/OHFLAC WV Nurse Aide
