Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Aide (PCA) to assist in individualized patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN. You will perform designated clinical and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care and work as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA/CPTC or in a healthcare program is encouraged.
• No prior experience required for PCA position.
• BLS certification within one month of hire; complete PCA competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of the RN or LPN.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
• Work cooperatively with the care team and participate in Mercy's UAP training program.
