Job summary

Mercy Hospital invites you to join a caring, collaborative team. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN supervision, participate in Mercy's PCA training, and perform designated clinical procedures and support tasks.

No prior experience required; Mercy provides a 175-hour state-mandated training, with BLS within 1 month and PCA competencies within 3 months. Mercy offers strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program; age 18+ and able to participate in Mercy's UAP training program.
• Experience: None required.
• BLS required within one month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum physical requirements: ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse; work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to patient care.
