Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support the registered nurse in daily patient care tasks, keep the environment safe and clean, and assist with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and procedures.

You will participate in rounds, document vitals, assist with dietary tasks, transport patients, and help with admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of completion of a medical assistant/patient care assistant program.
• Sufficient English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care activities and daily living tasks.
• Record vitals, collect specimens, and assist with procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and document care and rounds.
• Transport patients and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
