UC Health is seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the 4th floor Surgical Med Surg unit on Day Shift at West Chester Hospital in West Chester, OH. The PCA provides basic direct patient care under supervision, maintaining a clean, safe environment and supporting patients and staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 0–6 months experience preferred; other pathways like STNA or hospital training may apply.

Qualifications

• Trained in AHA CPR and patient care skills.
• State Tested Nursing Aide Training or Acute Medical Surgical Training or hospital training may apply.
• UC Health competency training for PCA and orientation if initial requirements are not met.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as delegated by licensed clinicians.
• Measure vitals, assist with ADLs, hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Safely operate patient care equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Communicate patient needs and changes to the RN promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized unit environment.
• Support teamwork during admissions, transfers, and discharges.
