Job summary

UC Health is hiring a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the 4th floor Surgical Med Surg unit for Night Shift at West Chester Hospital. Provides essential patient care, supports daily living activities, and assists with treatments under nursing supervision.

Minimum education is a High School Diploma or GED with 0-6 months of experience; CPR certification is required or UC Health competency training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-6 months of experience in patient care preferred.
• Trained in AHA CPR and patient care skills; may complete UC Health competency training if needed.

Responsibilities

• Engages in population appropriate communication and observes patients.
• Measures vital signs and documents changes in patient condition.
• Assists with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Records treatments and uses clinical equipment safely.
