Job summary

UC Health is hiring a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the 5th floor Med Surg unit on the Night Shift at West Chester Hospital. The PCA provides basic direct patient care as delegated by clinical personnel, maintains a clean and safe environment, and supports patients and families throughout treatment.

The candidate will work in a unit that emphasizes teamwork, learning opportunities, and patient-centered care, with several benefits and ongoing professional growth opportunities

Qualifications

• AHA CPR certification and patient care skills are required.
• High School Diploma or GED required; SCTN/Aide training preferred.
• Nurse aide or hospital training eligible; UC Health competency may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direct patient care as delegated by clinical staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Measure vitals and document observations accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and manage supplies.
• Communicate patient observations to the RN promptly.
