• Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; Ability to communicate with patients, family, peers and medical personnel; Basic math skills and appropriate phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Ensure patients receive a timely registration; typical visits under 15 minutes.
• Collect updated demographic information and accurately code information.
• Complete patient estimates using EPIC RTE and explain deductibles and insurance processing.
• Obtain signatures and Medicare-related forms; operate e-signatures and MSP when needed.
• Obtain copy of photo ID and insurance card; scan documents.
• Notify insurance representative for verification and initiate authorizations when necessary.
• Explain LCMH Financial Assistance program and assist with applications.
• Assist patient flow and guide customers to appropriate areas.
• Notify House Supervisor/Transfer Service for direct admissions to ease wait times.
• Discuss MyChart and obtain patient email addresses.
• Assist in clearing backlogs and improving area efficiency.
