Job summary

Legacy Funeral Group is seeking a Part-time Funeral Assistant/Attendant to support funeral directors and assist with services, arrangements, and family needs. The role involves office tasks, transporting decedents, and providing compassionate customer service in a respectful setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with removals, dressing, and casketing, preparing services, and driving company vehicles as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to use a computer and type.
Proficient in MS Office suite and willingness to learn other software is required.
Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Able to work and communicate effectively with others.
Able to maintain composure in challenging situations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and pull/push 200lbs or more of removals if required.
Able to pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities

Assist with dignified transport and care of the deceased, including removals, lifting, carrying, and preparation activities.
Prepare and place decedents into casket and arrange floral pieces and mementos for services.
Handle office duties: phones, computers, fax, and basic administrative tasks.
Assist families, greet clients, and provide information about services.
Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family transportation.
