Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive palliative care across locations within a 60-mile radius. The NP will educate patients and families, manage symptoms, and collaborate with PCPs and specialists to align treatment with goals of care.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing, a NP license, and at least five years of nursing experience; flexibility, travel, and adherence to ethical standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of five years nursing experience; oncology, hospice, geriatrics, or ICU preferred.
• Active CNS or Nurse Practitioner license; certified in Adult, Family, Acute, or Geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and urgent assessments; maintain patient census and manage care plans.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment options, prognosis, and goals of care.
• Coordinate with IPC and IDT; document visits within 24 hours; ensure CMS compliance.
• Prescribe medications and order tests within scope; participate in supervision and training.
