Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Part-time Patient & Equipment Transporter to move patients and supplies across the hospital campus. The role supports nursing staff, ensures safe transfers, and helps maintain transport equipment and records.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Required: Good interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation to support collaboration between Patient Transportation and other hospital departments.

Responsibilities

• Transport ambulatory patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed and verify patient identification before transport.
• Assist nursing staff with moving and positioning patients using lift devices and ensure safe transfers.
• Deliver stretchers, beds, cribs and wheelchairs as needed and assist in cleaning transport equipment.
