Job summary

You will coordinate administrative care tasks, conduct needs assessments, verify insurance, and schedule appointments while collaborating with the clinical team to facilitate timely diagnoses and treatments and identify barriers to care. Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Medical terminology, Medical Assistant Training, Patient Care Technician or CNA Training.
• Two years of health care experience required.
• Requires excellent time management and problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines and strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinical team to provide resources to patients with identified barriers.
• Gathers and completes data/documentation and escalates as needed.
• Uses Banner’s phone system to communicate with patients and external providers professionally and HIPAA-compliant.
• Reviews medical records/testing to determine next steps in care coordination or scheduling.
• Coordinates with physicians to optimize patient outcomes and solicits information for physician alignment.
• Manages multiple appointments and uses scheduling systems for cross-disciplinary communication.
• Works independently within established procedures to coordinate patient care.
