Job summary

Compass Oncology, part of The US Oncology Network, is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, and serve as a liaison among patients and healthcare staff. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• College degree preferred
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook & Word

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/practice
• Schedules patient medical appointments including office visit, lab, chemotherapy, and other appointments as ordered by Provider
• Coordinates external referrals as ordered by the provider
• Obtains and maintains accurate patient demographics and insurance information
• Answers incoming calls and triages to appropriate department
• Communicates messages accurately and timely using patient portal
• Builds positive working relationships across departments and staff
• Attends weekly team huddles to discuss patient cases and ensure quality care
