South Shore Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across nursing units, assist with safe patient transport by wheelchair or stretcher, and handle dispatcher and clerical duties to keep the unit running smoothly.

The role includes acting as an Observer for patients needing constant observation, ensuring safety, and documenting services accurately while maintaining professional relationships and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct/non-direct patient care under the supervision of licensed personnel.
• Observe, obtain and report patient data/status to RN.
• Respond to acuity changes and emergent situations as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain professional relationships and adhere to hospital policies.
