Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Nursing Assistant I/II for Per Diem shifts in Stony Brook, NY. Under RN supervision, you will assist with basic patient care, monitor vitals, and support visitors and families with information about treatment procedures and visiting hours.

Qualified candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, prefer NYS CNA license or equivalent, and an HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• NURSING ASSISTANT 1-Required.
• NURSING ASSISTANT 2-Required; 1 year patient care experience.
• Preferred: NYS CNA license or equivalent and HS diploma or GED.
• Must meet probationary requirements.
• Resume/CV should be included with application.

Responsabilités

• Change dressings and perform basic client care tasks.
• Take measurements: temperature, pulse, BP, respiration.
• Assist with daily living activities and hygiene.
• Feed and assist patients with nourishment.
• Maintain patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Assist with housekeeping related to patient care.
• Document care and observations in records.
• Support care team under RN supervision.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
