Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Nursing Assistant I/II to provide empathic care under RN supervision. The role emphasizes communication with patients and visitors, supporting daily living activities, and maintaining dignity and confidentiality in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Possession of or ability to acquire the NYS CNA license or certification.
• One year of satisfactory full-time patient care experience under professional supervision.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Change dressings and perform simple procedures as directed.
• Apply hot/cold packs and comfort measures as directed.
• Chart and document care and/or behaviors as required.
• Take temperatures, pulse, BP and respiration.
• Attend to daily living activities and hygiene for patients.
• Feed patients requiring assistance to ensure proper nourishment.
• Bathe, dress, and assist with personal care for patients.
• Maintain patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality; assist with related tasks.
