Job summary

Stony Brook University Hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant 2 to join the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (19 South). Per Diem schedule with evening shifts (3pm-11:30pm) and a focus on compassionate patient care under RN supervision.

Qualified applicants will have at least 1 year of patient care experience, strong communication, and a NYS CNA license or eligibility. A resume is required with the application; location is Stony Brook, NY, within Stony Brook Medicine’s campus system.

Qualifications

• 1 year of satisfactory full-time patient care experience under supervision.
• NYS CNA license preferred; certification from an approved program.

Responsibilities

• Change simple dressings and assist with basic therapeutic procedures as directed.
• Take vital signs including temperature, pulse, BP, and respiration.
• Assist with daily living activities and feeding as needed to support patient care.
