Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center seeks a Nursing Float Pool team member for a full-time day shift (6:30 am–7:00 pm) with a 36-hour week, rotating weekends and holidays. You will assist the RN with daily patient care, document in the EMR, and support admissions, transfers and discharges.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED/HSED, Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry, and BLS within 45 days.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED/HSED. Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications (DNV, CARF or others).
• Nurse Aide in good standing per State Registry and BLS for Healthcare Providers required; BLS to be obtained within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, daily weights, and other data in EMR.
• Perform rounds, communicate observations to RN, and assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Prepare rooms, charts, and supplies; ensure patient call lights are reachable and answered promptly.
• Coordinate with team to maintain stock and clean equipment and reporting care needs.
