Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Advocate Condell Medical Center - Nursing Float Pool. This part-time position is 24 hours per week, Day Shift 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, with rotating weekends and holidays every 3rd period.

You will assist the RN with patient care, take vital signs, document in the EMR, and support admissions/discharges under supervision. Requires HS diploma or GED/HSED and BLS within 45 days, with ongoing hospital certification updates.

Qualifications

• HS or GED/HSED required; maintain hospital certifications as needed.
• Basic computer and EMR documentation literacy.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs, intake/output, and daily weights.
• Documents accurately in the EMR and communicates observations promptly.
• Supports admission, transfer and discharge activities under RN supervision.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Maintains stock for the nursing area and helps with patient belongings.
