Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center Mercy in Charlotte, NC seeks an RN Clinical Nurse I for the Admission Discharge Transition Unit. This part-time role (24 hours/week) provides professional nursing care under the supervision of a nursing leader and emphasizes safety, assessment, planning, and collaboration. Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification required per policy.
• Active RN license in the state of work.

Responsibilities

• Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
• Analyze the assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
• Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
• Implement the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
• Communicates effectively in all areas of practice.
• Collaborates with healthcare consumer and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.
• Leads within the professional practice setting and the profession.
• Integrates evidence and research findings into practice.
