Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Nurse Aide I for the Nursing Med Surg unit in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role involves assisting with daily living activities, personal care, vital signs, and basic clinical tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current Nurse Aide I registry listing, and BLS certification. 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts, with a pay range of $19.80–$29.70 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for new hires.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Aid with personal hygiene and comfort of patients.
• Take vital signs, height and weight measurements.
• Feed and assist with ambulation per procedures.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Observe and report changes in patient conditions.
• Orient patients and families to unit and safety practices.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain medical records.
• Manage stock and supply inventory.
• Execute Nurse Aide I tasks per state guidelines.
• Perform 12-lead ECG and routine venipuncture.
