Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 5N Surgical Telemetry unit at 34404 Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy in Charlotte, NC. The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, with Saturday and Sunday nights from 7p to 7a.

You will support patients with daily living activities, monitor vitals, assist with hygiene, and help keep rooms clean and safe while following unit procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board as Nurse Aide II.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients/residents.
• Takes vital signs and basic measurements.
• Assists with personal hygiene and mobility.
• Maintains patient rooms and safety; observes changes in condition.
• Performs clerical tasks and maintains medical records as needed.
• Supports unit operations and inventory management.
• Administers a 12-lead ECG and routine venipuncture with proper training.
