Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for part-time night shift in Des Moines, IA. You will provide individualized nursing care to patients of all ages, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in admission, transfer, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include delivering care under the Nurse Practice Act, adhering to Mercy Medical Center policies, and maintaining high standards of patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in Iowa.
• BLS certification obtained within 6 weeks of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within 3 months of hire.
• English language reading/writing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to patients of all ages.
• Use a team-based approach to coordinate patient care at admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Deliver nursing care independently under the Nurse Practice Act and Mercy Medical Center policies.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled; duties may vary by unit.

Education

Registered Nurse license (Iowa)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
