Trinity Health Oakland Hospital is seeking a Patient Support Technician for the 12-hour night shift. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, manage patient records, and support unit operations in a 497-bed teaching facility.

The role requires basic clinical skills, effective communication, and a patient-centered approach. A high school diploma is required, with CNA/EMT credentials preferred and BLS certification desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct patient care within the past 5 years preferred.
• Graduation from high school or GED required; additional certifications optional.
• Current BLS certification preferred per job posting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with admission processes and maintaining patient charts.
• Support unit operations including timely communication with physicians and departments.
• Assist with vital signs, basic bedside care, and specimen collection as directed.
• Support patient education and discharge planning as appropriate.
• Maintain patient safety and adherence to hospital policies.
