Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nurses and care teams. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patients, take vital signs, and help maintain patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include following isolation precautions, communicating changes in patient status, and supporting patient education. A High School Diploma or GED and a PCT/CNA background are required; BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, hygiene) and mobility.
• Performs vital signs, point-of-care testing, and other tasks as directed by RN/LPN.
• Communicates changes in patient status and supports the healthcare team and family.
• Reinforces patient safety and participates in education and orientation activities.
