Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant to provide patient-centered support under RN supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus clinical rotation or CNA/STNA/EMS eligibility or 1 year of patient care within last 3 years or completion of Patient Care Assistant training.
• CPR certification required and maintained.
• Internal training program offered periodically based on business need.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care: provide approved care and assist in interventions under RN supervision; supervise daily living activities and assist with 1-on-1 observation as needed.
• Communication: document patient status and changes; respond to alarms and communicate with team; ensure effective handoffs and patient safety.
• Environment: maintain safe, organized, and infection-controlled areas; ensure safety procedures for children's ages.
• Administrative Support: respond to alarms, answer phones per etiquette, assemble charts, stock supplies, assist in orientation of new staff.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

CPR certification

1 year of patient care experience

ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited clinical rotation
