Job summary

Miami Children’s Hospital is seeking a Care Assistant for the 5 Tower unit (full-time, nights) to support patient care and maintain a safe, clean environment. The role involves helping with daily living activities, vital signs, and collaboration with the nursing team to ensure compassionate, family-centered care.

Under RN supervision, you will document findings, prioritize tasks, and assist with room turnover while promoting cost-effective practice and high-quality care for pediatric patients

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in Florida (or equivalent)
• BLS certification required
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, hygiene, nutrition, comfort)
• Take vital signs and document in EHR
• Inform RN of changes in patient condition
• Restock supplies and prepare rooms for patients
• Provide encouragement and support to patients and families
• Assist with transporting patients for procedures
