Sunnyside-Presbyterian-Home in Martinsville, VA is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant for the Memory Support Neighborhood. The role covers night shifts 10:45 PM–7:15 AM on alternating weekends, with pay ranging $15.00–$20.42 per hour plus shift differential.

You will assist residents with ADLs, document care, and support safe, home-like environments while upholding residents' rights. Qualifications include 80-hour geriatric nursing cert, VA CNA license, CPR/First Aid, and strong

Qualifications

• 80-hour geriatric nursing certification or current enrollment.
• Virginia NACEP test after completion of 80-hour course.
• Current Virginia CNA license through Virginia Board of Nursing.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and maintain its integrity.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and handle medical emergencies.
• Strong customer service with hospitality mindset.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with ADLs: bathing, dressing, toileting and dining.
• Document resident care and promote residents' rights and a safe home-like environment.
• Communicate with staff at shift start and end to relay vital information.
• Anticipate resident needs to help prevent falls.
• Maintain hand hygiene and isolation precautions.
• Transfer, lift and turn residents with proper body mechanics per care plans.
• Record and report vitals and changes to nurse promptly.
• Assist in feeding when required and serve meals within 15 minutes of unit arrival.
• Operate basic patient care equipment daily.
• Report changes and follow nurse directives promptly.
