Job summary

Five-Star-Senior-Living's Somerset neighborhood is seeking part-time CNAs to join our care team. CNAs provide hands-on support and services in assisted living and memory care neighborhoods, following each resident’s Personalized Service Plan (PSP) and maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

Nights shift is available with Monday–Friday work and every other weekend required. Candidates should have at least a high school education; state licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred and may be required by the state.
• SC State CNA Licensure.
• Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform personal care aspects.
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living and Dementia/Skilled Nursing preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update Personalized Service Plans; attend plan reviews with families.
• Follow hydration schedule established for residents during shift.
• Complete resident meal attendance sheets; provide room service if needed.
• Know and comply with all resident rights.
• Initiate, assign, and assist with activities as appropriate.
• Check assigned residents daily for cleanliness, continence issues and changes.
• Use proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Check resident rooms daily for cleanliness and neatness; address hazards.
• Assist with laundry rooms and common areas; coordinate with housekeeping.
• Complete all ADLs per PSP and respond to call bells promptly.
