Job summary

Avamere at Bethany in Portland, OR is seeking a Part-Time/On-Call Server for memory care, assisted living, and independent living. You will take orders, serve meals, set up dining areas, and ensure a positive dining experience for residents.

Weekend availability is required and this role emphasizes teamwork, strong hygiene, and attentive service. Attendance bonuses apply for full-time and part-time employees per period.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Must maintain high personal hygiene while working.
• Interpersonal skills to work with residents and staff.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Promptly delivering food and beverages, ensuring attractive presentation.
• Provide attentive service and address residents' requests during meals.
• Set up dining room before meals and maintain cleanliness during service.
• Clear tables and reset them for next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents’ apartments.
• Be familiar with menu and dietary needs; answer questions.
• Interact professionally with residents and guests; maintain warmth.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures; proper storage and sanitation.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
