Job summary

Avamere Living in Spokane, WA is seeking a part-time Server to provide excellent dining service in a memory care, assisted living and/or independent living setting. You will take orders, serve meals, set up tables, keep areas clean, and respond to residents' needs with warmth and respect.

This role requires weekend availability, ability to handle room service orders, knowledge of food safety, and a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and hair control.
• Ability to build relationships with residents and other departments.
• Willingness to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification required during employment.
• Current Food Handler card from local health department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related laws for hospital/nursing home settings.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Compassion for and service orientation toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver meal and beverage orders accurately.
• Promptly deliver food and beverages to residents with attractive presentation.
• Provide attentive, courteous service and respond to residents' needs during meals.
• Assist with dining room setup and maintain cleanliness during service.
• Clear and reset tables after meals and handle room service orders.
• Be familiar with the menu and address residents' dietary questions.
• Interact with residents and guests in a professional, welcoming manner.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen to ensure smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per policies.
