Qualifications

• Basic compassion and empathy in daily resident support.
• Effective communication with residents, families and staff.
• Understanding of dementia and Alzheimer’s related behaviors.
• Ability to work in a team and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with daily living assistance per policies and resident rights.
• Assist residents in meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Respond to resident calls promptly and adhere to each resident’s Level of Care (LOC).
• Escort residents to meals and assist during meals according to individual needs.
• Check residents every two hours and report findings.
• Assist with cleaning and tidying resident rooms as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain safety with proper body mechanics and emergency responsiveness.
• Clock in/out and use equipment properly and follow uniform policy.
