Job summary

HarborChase, LLC. is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support residents with Activities of Daily Living in a Texas Plano community. You will help with bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and overall well-being while preserving dignity and respect.

Responsibilities include responding to calls, checking residents every two hours, escorting to meals, assisting with dining, and maintaining cleanliness of rooms and dining areas. A CNA (or eligible) with high school education is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Non-Certification with proper training, or possession of valid state certification as CNA.
• 1–3 years experience in a senior care community or nursing home preferred.
• Has a good understanding of how Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease can affect behavior.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts.

Responsibilities

• Provides residents assistance with ADLs while honoring dignity and respect.
• Provides quality care in accordance with resident rights and policies.
• Assists residents in meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Adheres to each resident’s LOC and notifies supervisor of changes.
• Answers resident calls in a timely manner and responds to requests.
• Checks residents every two hours and reports findings.
• Completes assignment sheets daily.
• Escorts residents to meals and assists with dining room activities.
• Assists with meals per individual needs and appetite changes.
• Cleans and tidies resident rooms and dining areas as directed.
• Assists with resident personal laundry as directed.
• Disposes of incontinent products per OSHA regulations and company policy.
• Practices proper body mechanics and safety practices when lifting.
• Responds to resident emergencies and follows shift schedule.
• Follows uniforms policy, clocks in/out, and uses company equipment properly.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment for residents and reports concerns.
