Waters of syracuse is hiring a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse in a caregiving setting. The role requires a high school diploma and an active QMA license, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have current QMA license.

Responsabilités

• Administers oral medications, including scheduled medications.
• Administers PRN medications after nurse authorization and documentation of effectiveness.
• Administers inhalers and Nebulizer treatments when permitted by nurse.
• Administers topical and rectal ointments, nasal sprays/drops, eye/ear ointments/drops.
• Observes residents for drug reactions and reports concerns to the nurse immediately.
• Monitors residents' vital signs and documents medications on MAR.
• Calculates medication dosages and stocks the medication cart.
• Reports to the nurse on duty with updates on residents' responses to medications or treatments.
