The Waters is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to administer medications safely under the supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The role emphasizes accuracy, observation of reactions, and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered QMA license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications with safety techniques under nurse supervision.
• Observe residents for drug reactions and report to the nurse.
• Record medication administration on MAR chart.
• Assist with lifting, moving and transferring residents as required.
• Attend mandatory meetings and in-services.
• Audit documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
