Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. The role requires completing MAR/TAR docs in real time, observing residents during passes, and maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.
• Senior care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
