Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely, accurately, and with dignity. The role involves administering medications per orders, documenting in MAR/TAR in real time, and monitoring residents during and after passes while maintaining clean carts and adherence to infection control.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, strong documentation, and communication skills;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+.
• Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
