Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely and with dignity. You will administer meds per orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and observe residents for changes in condition.

The role emphasizes following the Six Rights, maintaining carts and rooms, and reporting concerns promptly to protect resident safety and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 18+ years old.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills demanded.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer meds as ordered for relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
