Qualifications

• Must be licensed in South Dakota as a Medication Aide (or willingness to complete on-the-job training).
• Passion for working with seniors and caring for others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and service-minded.
• Ability to provide care with patience, empathy, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication delivery following all policies and procedures.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and overall response.
• Communicate medication-related concerns, changes, or follow-ups to nursing leadership.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to support continuity of care and medication management.
• Accurately document medication administration and treatment completion in the MAR and other required documentation systems.
