Qualifications

• Must be licensed in South Dakota as a Medication Aide or willing to complete on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a Registered Nurse per state rules.
• Document medication administration and treatment completion in MAR and systems.
• Monitor residents for effectiveness, side effects, and response.
• Communicate changes to nursing leadership promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility as trained.
• Maintain medication storage securely per regulations and policy.
• Collaborate with nursing, care staff, and dietary teams for care continuity.
